If Texans and Floridians have one thing in common, it’s this:
They love America.
As we move into the month of September this year, that love can be shared through the Big Screen, with the sensational new Action film, "Narco Sub".
Narco Sub - Actor - Robert LaSardo
The film follows the story of a former U.S. Navy Seal who is forced to become a criminal to save his family from being kidnapped by the Colombian drug cartel. The film shows us action packed and high-quality films are being produced, without the giant Hollywood budgets. "Narco Sub" was produced in Houston, Texas, and continues to sweep the nation with a national release date of September 10th.
Having a military theme doesn’t make the film truly American. What does however, is the fact that the film uses entertainment to start conversations about real-life issues. This movie touches on the worldwide problem of Human Trafficking.
VetFlicks / Impact Releasing CEO Mr. Marcus T. Bovee II is the U.S. Army Veteran who is responsible for bringing "Narco Sub" to cinemas. He has created a campaign called #SummerofStryker and Military Appreciation Watch Parties, where Deepwater Productions teamed up with VetTix to give away free tickets, t-shirts and concessions at private screenings, for military families before the national release date.
The film team is showing raw talent and true business grit as they push this project through the toughest times and onward to the cinemas. It is interesting to see the filmmakers navigate Covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions to get movies to the Big Screens safely. It is only with the generous support and collaboration of Theatre Owners, that an independent film can have a chance to be seen.
The film is achieving groundbreaking accomplishments in many aspects of entertainment business and film distribution for 2021, as compared to some Hollywood titles being stalled or release dates being pushed back, again. "Narco Sub" is the Remi Award winner for “Best Action Film” of 2021.
